"The images in my artwork are not always limited by reality, but often are the illusions of my imagination. As a dream is "free thought," unburdened by reality, my imagination leads in the creation of my art. I may refer to nature or the reality of my kitty on the barstool, although the destination is to create, not to imitate. Experiment and expression with color is akin to a "the fork in the road" - you make a decision on which direction to go and what path to take. In art, these decisions are the creativity that I express. I draw on my imagination before I draw in reality."
